Diamond factory
This morning, I drove through a diamond factory. Literally, the freeze from last night made everything sparkle - trees, overpasses, cars - and diamonds flew off of defrosting fenders. Rainy Season
It’s finally raining in Austin. Thank God.

Fieldtrip!!!
It’s the perfect day - about 80F outside, sunny, cool breeze. I’m heading out with my team on a little fieldtrip around town. Researching interactions, states, tasks…

Me: Of course! That’s the story of my life - I rarely know what’s going on anyway. I just show up.
Expedition
Tomorrow, I’ll head out, camera in hand, and hit the gritty streets of Austin. We’re capturing inspiration in whatever form we can. This project is so abstract, so nebulous - I love it! Somehow, all these fragments will be glued together and an amazing new interface will emerge. I’m excited to see what unfolds!
Technique
I can most definitely do a single, and on occasion a double, tongue.
Triple, not so much. Flutter? On a good day and almost always by mistake.
Could never quite master that faceted contact with the tongue and the roof of the mouth and the teeth AND get a sound out.
I’ll stick with nice legato phrases, staccato punctuations, and I’ll fake a multi-tongue if provoked.
We hold these truths to be self evident.
